Usually when we book vacations, we tend to veer towards warm destinations and springtime or summer getaways. We don’t typically think of winter as trip time, but we promise that this winter wonderland getaway will have you rethinking trips during the colder months. Located in Blackcomb Peak, British Columbia, this is a gorgeous spot for luxury skiing and much more. The 2010 Olympic Winter sliding sports were even hosted here.

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler can be found just 5 minutes from the ski resort and is just over a mile over the Lost Lake. It is extremely easy to book skiing lessons, a day out on the gold course (if weather permits) and also tours of Whistler.

Each of the hotel’s rooms (there are 550 in total) are lavish and luxurious, with incredible views of the village and the mountain. You can also go for the junior suite or 2 bedroom suite that features separate living rooms, pull out couches, and huge bathrooms.
