Ise Grand Shrine, Japan

As a dedication to the sun god, the Japanese Shinto built the Ise Grand Shrine. The only people who are allowed into this religious shrine are priests and priestesses. Fit the bill?

The Mormon Church Secret Vault, Utah

As we’ve already learned from this list, mountains offer a great location for hiding or storing sensitive materials. The Mormon Church has taken advantage of one such location in Utah where they keep millions of family records in super-protected vaults. Are they being kept safe because they’re secret or because they’re going to be used in the afterlife? Who knows, but putting your files (and more) in a massive safe in a mountain is probably better insurance than burning it onto a disc.
