Until today she has written over 5,000 songs, but of course not all of them have made it out there. And then I can hardly finish writing my shopping list. And how’s this for a way to spend your birthday? She takes off time on her birthday to write songs, even though she writes a new song every 2 or 3 days anyway.

Now, “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You” are Partons’s biggest hits, but that’s a given. However, here’s a fun fact, she wrote both songs on the exact same night back in 1973. So much talent!
