Smith’s first big claim to fame was in The Prime Miss Jean Brodie which released back in 1969. Smith has a pair of Oscars to her name and as well as a victory over cancer which she fought while filming Harry Potter. Smith recently starred on the hit TV series Downton Abbey.

Loretta Swit

Loretta Swit isn’t a hosuehold name nowadays but she is one of the finest actresses of the ’70s. Swit pursued the acting world despite her parents protests. Swit started acting at 7 years old and eventually won a pair of Emmys for her work on the hit show MASH as Major Margaret Houlihan. Swit has also dipped her toes into a variety of different post-filmmaking worlds which include custom jewelry, painting, and even activism.
