Reba married Charlie Battles, a rodeo star, when her career started, also releasing a debut single called “I Don’t Wanna Be a One Night Stand.” It didn’t do well on the charts, but she didn’t give up. Her rendition of “Sweet Dreams” by Patsy Cline reached the 19th spot on the Billboard charts.
