Since discovering that Joseph was his son, Arnold felt a responsibility to help take care of him. This is why he was fully supportive of him up until he graduated from university. However, once Joseph graduated, his father announced that he will no longer be paying for him. While Joseph could be bitter about this, he has said he doesn’t hold a grudge at all.

Although Joseph spent much of his youth without knowing who his real father is, he still had a wonderful childhood. He learned a lot about his Guatemalan heritage and spent time enjoying the culture’s food and music.
