Queen Alexandra’s Wedding Necklace
Prince Albert wanted to give Princess Alexandra of Denmark an impressive gift in honor of their wedding in 1863. He bought a set for $18,522 that included a diamond necklace, matching earrings, and a brooch. It is currently valued at $1.6 million and was given to Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge by the Queen Mother.

This gorgeous diamond tiara actually started out as a necklace that was worn by Queen Victoria and also Queen Mary, who then later reworked it into a tiara. She later gave the tiara as a gift to Princess Anne.
