Nature has a funny way of producing seemingly perfect things. To the human eye, which is used to man-made manufactured items, it almost seems jarring that something that occurs naturally could form in such a seemingly perfect manner. This flower almost looks like a mandala, perfectly constructed and beautiful.
Often, we associate perfection with pleasurable things, like cakes and flowers. However, sometimes terrifying predators, such as snakes and pythons, can balance their menacing demeanors with a perfection that is confusingly satisfying. Perhaps this snake is trying to lull its prey into a false sense of calm before going in for the strike.
